I'd say nr.3 is the lie.The two first ones seem very likable to happen.I have a friend who eats about once in a day and a half(and I'm truly getting concerned about her health). Also,I myself, read time after time a lot of books at the same time.Stalin was very famous of this:reading a great number of books at the same time since he was very busy with state buisness.Logically,nr.3 remains as a lie, although you might have a good voice...

    I guess #2.

I hope you don't mind me disagreeing with you here but I think actually logically speaking, it's not about voice. I think that the third one can easily be a truth (though of course I might be wrong here) because about everybody can imitate. Good imitation or bad imitation are two other things. How badly/well she/he does it shouldn't be related to that.....and if we go on extreme logic....I think that logically speaking three books can't be read at a time. I mean come on, our brain can take only thing at a time. Logic is a pretty thing to play with.

No,I don't mind,I love a bit of high quality debate.

You see,the thing is,to be able to imitate you must be a very good interpreteur which is a talent of relatively few people in the world.Imitating as a concept means to act well and to impersonate well. It's like singing. You might like to sing, but you don't sing,it is not called singing what you do (it is merely noise-making) unless it is likable by others.

Then I hope you don't mind if I present some 'low-quality' points for the discussion.

Well, as far as I know, imitation is taken as acting in a way (in the desired way) that people get the drift of whom you are trying to play. Now I think that it is not very unlikely logically-speaking (while you apparently think that it is). Can be because the people I know, most of them, are able to imitate the desired person in a way you get the drift who that person is (but mind me I am in highschool and around here it's one of the most favourite hobbies of people to imitate teachers/singers/fashion-models/what-not ). On the other hand, I have hardly met a person who could read three books at a time (I might be taking it too literally, well...) or live without food for at least two days. Formality can be an exception though.

Oh well I guess logic differs from person to person, as I said before, it's pretty fun/yet not very much fun (again depends upon how you take it) to follow the track we find logic leading us on to.

Might I just barge in and note that you two may be talking about different things? Some people really can "imitate" other people and not only just so you "get the drift" but that you could actually believe somebody else is talking to you.

As for the "facts", I'd go with Remarkable and #3.

The first one's got to be true because everybody can go without food for two days.
The second one's - well, provided it does mean that formality_hater can switch between books and still get the story in all three - possible and I'd say it's also true.

Well, logically, either one or both of the first two statements has to be right. If number 1 is true, number 2 could also be true, but if number 2 is false, the equation is thrown into a mess as I would asume that one would read what one would write. However, I am going for #2. A man can write trash and read what he writes and not particularly love what he writes, it's just a job.

I would go for the second one. You probably wouldn't like to call something you love 'trash'....

Same here. The 2nd one would be the lie.

First would be true: u're on a literature forum! If u're not in for reading then what r u doing here?

2nd: most likely if u like reading, you prolly read books by your fav authors, thus making it kinda impossible for u to read 'trash'

3rd one: well, we all write trash from time to time, don't we?
    Alas, our frailty is the cause not we;
For such we are made of,such we be.

Oh, I forgot to reveal the lie!

No. 2 was a false statement(rather an exaggeration).I can read two books at a time, I have tried to read three but failed to do so!

2: Got very annoyed by a school friend today.
    3: I wrote a poem today.

I hipe I don't sound patronizing, Pensy, but #2, and #3 are so "State of the Union" with you that I will go for #1 being the lie hands down without knowing whether or not you even have a brother!

hah, Pen, I like your logic. Sometimes the longest stories are the lies, and that seems like it would be the case here, too.

I vote #1 as the lie!
