Can someone please help me? I've read Romeo and Juliet and I'm trying to find out who is a better friend to Romeo, Benvolio or Mercutio? Please tell me any specific scenes. Don't really need Page #. Thnx!!!!!!

I say Benvolia because Mercrucio cared more about violence and hatred towards the Capulets while Benvolio hated them, but loved Romeo more. To back this up, Mercrucio dies fighting Tybalt, and leads Romeo to kill him. Before that, he was trying to get Romeo involved when he had refused. Benvolia tried to keep Romeo away from the violence. A real friend would care more about the person that the conflict.

But I still love Mercrucio.
