I would write something for rescue. Now comes the question why I would write it? Oh well, I like life. Probably not too much but still enough to want to die alone in a deserted island at this moment when I am too curious to get to know more about life.
I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew.

i'd look in the bright side,

    i'd write..

"hey, whoever gets this letter. i want you know everything's totally fine. it's quite great in here. things here are colorful and fancy, everyone should experience the delight of this wonderful isolation. (with smile at the end).

That's good andrew - funny. although, knowing me I would write something like that and then I would tack on some kind of cry for help and as much information about where I was so that they could at least try to rescue me.

    I would write:

"Hey, world, try to become free!"

    The reasons are obvious!

On front it would have a map, to the best of my ability, of where I might be and on the front it would say:

    To whom it may concern,

First off, I am amazed that you ever found this and probably at this point if I am still am alive I have learned to survive happily in my environment. Secondly, I am very sorry if I got your hopes up if I deceived you into thinking this was a pirates map leading to treasure (as most messages in bottles contains). But it is only an informational note as to the whereabouts of me. Please call my family at_____ and tell them that I hope they didn't already have my funeral and that I'll kill my mother for ever having convinced me to go on that flight I told her would end badly. If you ever find me please leave me where I am and just drop of the following things :
    10 pounds of chocolate
    Meat
    A chicken
    A rooster
    rope
    water
    a flashlight (with extra batteries)
    And a pillow
A change of clothes would be nice as well
Tell my mother to pay for it

    Thanks,
    Person Stranded Quite Contently

PS I would enjoy having a puppy with me too- just for a companion

My note reads: Dear Finder: Thanks for finding my bottle. If you send me the time and place you found it and the number on the note, I will be able to send you the exact release data. Do me a favor and resend it for a second finder. Tom Heimer, contact info., etc.----Have used this note since I started with bottle #1 in July, 1972. In Jan., 2008 I reached bottle # 25,000. 1,490 have been found. 7 have crossed the Atlantic. Longest lasting was in N.C.-19 years.
