    Tiny

    To the tiny
    Grey mouse,
    I put out grain
    For you.
    It is not poison
    For I don’t mind—
    Sharing life
    With you.
    Here’s part of a blanket
    For a warm bed—
    The Nights are
    Growing cold.
    But please eat your grain
    And not nibble my food—
    Little one
    We both must live…

    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

    If Curiosity. . .

    If Curiosity

    offed the cat, it could
    also be fatal to non-felines.
    Lured by the look lurking
in your eye, I wish that
    your smile would stop
    murdering me.

    Aquamarine frock with sparkly lace,
Displayed to be cherished, envied and admired,
But those with empty pockets, too stared,
And the little eyes silently cried.
Leaping and hopping like a frog now, but still have a long way to go before I get crowned as "King Frog"!

    I love you, but
    I don't want anyone
    to know.

    Especially you.

    you cannot hide
    the redolence of
    love and musk
    no matter what
    sooner or later
    the world will
    come to know !

OMG, how awesome in a teeny bottle like this! "Lured by the look lurking" grabbed me. Love it, Aunty!

Aww...I can't quite pinpoint why, but this touched me.
I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

    We wore white gloves
    And laced pinafores
    With fur lined bonnets
That were long since put away
    We walked
    Hand and hand
    Through black, uncaring streets
    Three miles, in darkness
    To the cracked concrete steps
Where they took pity on us
    Because we were young
    And so, so lost
    But,
    Hand in hand,
    We were not alone

    Confused

    I look in the glass
and smile at the unknown girl
    who tries to be me

    In the cold we stood
    Eyes in contact
    Lips blue
    Waiting
    For something
    The slightest movement
    To signal our frozen thought
