What do you think of Platypuses?

In my attempt to post a thread dealing with something which has not been talked about before, I suddenly thought of platypuses. What is a platypus? It’s a strange little creature living in Eastern Australia. It is very strange because:
-it’s part of the only mamals that lay eggs.
    -it is duck-billed, beaver-tailed and otter-footed.

    Here are some images:

So, what do you think of them? Please take the poll. Answer this thread. Make a good action.

I've always thought them cute. I've never seen one live though.

But is it not strange how we are drawn to creatures in whom we see some aspect of ourselves!

and they do an incredibly cute courtship dance. there's a film of it around on the net somewhere. I'll post it one of these days.
the hubby presents his feet to the wify and says "eeeeeeeeeeeh" in a very high pitched tone. the wife says "bonk bonk". the hubbies feet do the dancing of their own accord and he looks at them in a very puzzled way, as if he had no control over them and was thinking "Hey, what are those feet doing?Whose feet are the?"
at first she ignores him and pecks at crumbs etc. lets him dangle for a while. just like people, eh?
then they dance together and give each other twigs, which they put on each others feet.
the wife builds a nest from the twigs. then she destroys it and sh!ts up the whole place, making a star-like shape to mark the spot where their now imaginary nest is.

    good for you

hehe, the blue-footed booby dance is my litmus test for men. if a man is willing to look at their pics with me and dance the booby-dance he's OK. my hubby puts twigs on my feet sometimes when we go for a walk *putting ideas in Sweets' head* you should really try it

... and then the wife sh!ts up the nest

do platythingamabobs have a courtship ritual?

Sleepy, I'm not sure platypuses have such an elaborated courtship ritual.
Prince, I've never seen you dance this way around me!
Virgil, you have chosen all the poll options!
