    The Efficacy of Prayer

    I had a dream:
    I saw birds struggling
    To free themselves
    From human bodies
    Like ribcages
    Ripping out from chestscapes
And flying up to the skies

    These birds ascended
    In formation like smoke
    Spiralling upwards
Into the freedom of the air
    And the world echoed with
    Their pained and anguished screeches
    Their frantic gliding
    Was a spectacle
    That no-one could fail
    To see.

    And after a while
    It seemed like there
    Was nowhere left to go.
    And when everyone watching
    Had finally lost interest
    And dispersed,
    And even the heavens
    Would not open,
    These birds were left
    Suspended over Flossenburg
    And Ravensbruck

the pure emotions depicted by the VERY vivid imagery is just beautiful.

this part just put me in awe:
    Spiralling upwards
Into the freedom of the air
    And the world echoed with
    Their pained and anguished screeches
