Ehehehehe!! True!
Don't worry it will pass!
Yes. Very mean!
I see I have a long way to go.
Yes, a long long way. In 30 years from now, when you have become very mean, I will be able to say 'I have known The Great Lote Tree when he was a nice guy, a long time ago'. And then, people will have wide-open eyes because it will seem so strange to them to hear that you once were nice.
They will regret the good old days.
Yep! That Drug is called LOVE!
That is wonderful for you to have found this.
LOL
Now now you know me I can't a spell a thing! ;-) So your death would be accidental
Do you mean that since you always misspell words, this particular misspelt word cannot be responsible for my death? Does it have something to do with coincidences or something? I feel there is a scientific theory beyond that.
Friendship between men are like two stones in a pod
I am not sure I understand the metaphor. I am not sure what a pod is. I am sure your metaphor is nice though, because it comes from you, and everything that comes from Lote is nice. For the time being, at least.
I derived my opinion from this principle:
-Everything about Lote is nice
-Lote used a metaphor
-The metaphor must therefore be nice.
Whats linguistics with out Lote-Trees ?
Well, maybe linguistics would be easier without Lote-Tree because the sentences would look better.

Sweets, do you do evil Chomsky trees or CGEL trees? or dependency/valency (Tesniere, sp?) trees?
I'm doing CGEL trees with my students these days. Let's set up a linguists club

I'm doing trees on syntax. I put the verb first in V position, and then there is a V' and a VP, and then you put the internal argument, the external one, the adjuncts and then the inflection of the verb, and then the tree moves! The subject (external argument) moves to get its nominal case and the verb gives its accusitive case and such. And it becomes tricky to represent trees with passive verbs, verbs with 3 arguments or questions.

hum.. sounds like either Chomsky or something remotely similar to valency.. or maybe not so similar. is it called transformational grammar?... Phrase structure grammar (PSG)? X-bar theory?

I am not sure how it is called, lol.
We just call it syntax!

yeah.. those evil Chomskians pretend their type of syntax analysis was the only way to do it.
anyway, are syntax trees a symbol of genitals?

May I ask my teacher?

What! I have to wait 30 years! That just sucks!
There must be a quicker way to get mean...perhaps I should become a politician
Does it have something to do with coincidences or something?
There is no such thing as coincidences! Everything is destiny! You cannot escape it.
I am not sure I understand the metaphor. I am not sure what a pod is.
Never heard of the expression two pea in a pod?

You will not let me be mean will you!!
That's how I remain nice I guess :-(

Perhaps. But it would be boring no doubt

Ehehe, I think you are the first guy I meet who complains about having to be nice for 30 years.
Oh, be really careful Lote, you are talking about politics here, you are going to get banned.

You might be totally right, but you might also be totally wrong. The only thing we know is that nobody knows whether there is a destiny or not. How could you be sure of anything else? Eh?
(you smart a*s*s
)
Never heard of the expression two pea in a pod?
No? (this is an occasion for you to explain me something and give me some of your wonderful Lote-intelligence!
)

Ehehe, you cannot be mean to me because I always try to be peaceful even with those who try to be mean, so in the end the just give up being mean.
Well, I must admit that there are times when I lose my temper though.
Perhaps. But it would be boring no doubt
Ah, yes, without Lote-Trees, linguistics would not be the same. I think that the fact that there are Lote-Trees in it is what made most linguistic teachers choose this career.
