I am escaping responsibilities and I am planning to do so hopefully forever. I don't want to settle. But I feel really wrong because at my age (same as Kilted's ) I should be starting to behave like an adult. But I don't want to. As long as I get a job anywhere in the world that pays a rent, food, maybe some travelling etc... that's all I want and need. I don't have a partner and by the look of it I won't really ever have one, the only word 'commitment' makes me feel rather sick so even if I had one he'd have to be someone sharing my worldview...
I feel irresponsible because everybody else sooner or later will think of settling down (although most of my friends still haven't finished Uni, buying a house at our age in Italy is as possible as flying to Saturn and back in 15 minutes ) and I'll feel guilty for living my life the way I want it I feel a bit irresponsible towards my family too, because I left and well we keep in touch really well and I go back there every few months and all, but sometimes they all make me feel like I committed a crime or something (good ol' Italian mentality...). So yeah, the word 'responsibility' is not part of my vocabulary...
dead on the inside, i've got nothing to prove
keep me alive and give me something to lose

Are you going to organize them? (and I love your house!)

That is a fraction of the books, still have 6 boxes of them to unpack. I will do some organising of them but I lack bookcases (need to make shelves in basement).

View from my window (lake is just behind tree-line)

Back yard (deck has large walk-out from living area)

It is not a smilie cushion, it is my smilie lunch bag

Recipes are welcome so long as they are easy

Course not, I am tearing up all the carpet downstairs for laminate wood flooring.

    It's not boring, believe me

Mine would be my recent move to Copenhagen (last Nov). I'm getting a job here and after 2 weeks, I have this slight thought that I probably was making a bad decision. But I can't turn the time back so I will need to deal with it to make things better. I'm now completely on my own. I have no family here, so I need to make new friends in order to survive. Compare to the warm full house back home, I'm now living alone in an apartment. I need to schedule my time so I can work and do chores like cooking, doing laundry, cleaning up, doing groceries, learning Danish...and at the same time I also need to think about socializing, reading, trying to stay healthy...I miss my family and friends back home..Now I really understand the meaning of 'home'...

Yea, I know..they are not responsibilities and I may sound like a baby here.. but it's good to let things come out so they won't get stuck somewhere in the inside and cause serious trouble
