    Hello

Hi My name is Elena and i'm from Romania. right now I'm still a student, though i plan on finishing next year. i love reading and writing, and even though I've read a lot of books i still have trouble answering that annoying question: what's your favorite book? most times i think it's impossible to pick only one when i loved most of them but for different reasons.
I don't have many hobbies but the ones i have my friends tell me i turned them into small obsessions. i like photography and almost never go out without my camera, another thing i really like is skating, be it on the ice or the concrete.
well that's about it. i hope i didn't bore you too much.

    Talking hello

    Hello,
I just want to say hi! and do some introducing.
I am Ton and come from the Netherlands. I am 57 years old, married, with 2 sons.
I put the name of James Joyce down as my favorite writer, but it would be better to say that I can't really choose, I love all english, dutch and german poetry, thomas pynchon, burroughs, shakespeare, books on history, elizabethan and jacobean drama, anglo-saxon poetry, and-so-forth, ad infinitam.
I buy books at a greater speed than I can read -sigh- (mainly second-hand though) and am blessed with a wife that looks on with tolerant smile as I pile the walls and floors of my house full .
It means that sometimes they have to go to charity or the house would burst at the seams.
    ton
    ----
sir, have I ever given you cause to doubt me?

    Hey everyone!

I'm Leslie. I'm a senior in high school right now, taking AP English Literature. My favorite book would probably be A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving or Tess of the D'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy.
I used to read everything I could get my hands on, but now that school has taken over my life, I've only been reading what I'm required to read. I'm trying to change that. Haha.

Hi, ^_^ I am Veronica, but I am mostly known as Jinx, due to the fact I happen to Jinx a lot of things. I am 17, and female. I am also English but I can speak Frech.
I am at college right now doing my A Levels, I am studying English, History, Ethics, Philosophy and Law. When I am older I hope to be a teacher, or to many invent something random that will make me a fair amount of money.
I live not far from Liverpool with my mother and simlings, I do not have a father as such, but I have a good friend who is like a dad to me.
I can be rather random at times, however I know when to be a good girl.
I am taken, sorry boys , I have been with my Kris now for over a year, I am in love, and I do not know love is, if anything I would find myself manybe a little bit like Tess is towards Angel sometimes, I am on that level of devotion to my boyfriend, I really would do anything for him, and love him no matter what. It may seem silly, but I do not care, it is my feelings at the end of the day.
I am very happy with my looks, but maybe I should be a bit more concerned about my weight, however everything says it is a girls thing to be thinking they are fat all the time... ¬_¬
I am a rather big fan of music of any kinds and laguage, however I have a big thing for Japanese rock. I play piano, drum, bass, flute and a little bit of guitar, I would like to play a fair few instrements from around the world, I would love to make a band with each known instrement!
I love anime and manga, Death Note was rather good, but the ending kind of disapointed me, Chobits was good, however Bleach kicked ***! ^_^
I love RPGs such as final fantasy and kingdom hearts, I love my PS2, however I am not too fond on the PS3, but a few good games seem to be coming out on it. I like nintendo and microsoft, [yes kill me if you must] the X-Box has taken my heart! Halo is something I could play on all night long, I love online games, I would love .hack to be a bit more common where I live.
I love books! I could read anything you give me, as long as it is in English or French. ^_^ I am quite good at those languages. My favorite novilist would have to be Steven Kings, however Thomas Hardy was rather good.
I feel I have told you a little bit too much, and I fear that after all this typing no one will actually read it all.
Well e-mail me if you want to know more.

My name is Terri. I am 28 years old and terriable at introductions. I have loved reading all my life even before I knew how (so my mother tells me). My favorite thing to do is make lists of all the great books I intend to read then read a few and start a new list because someone small and underage has lost or colored on my latest list. I enjoy discussing good literature and often find the discussing as rewarding as the reading. (Well sometimes anyway.)

hullo, my name is christina and i am from australia.
i chanced upon this site after typing into google "antic hay, aldous huxley" as i am performing my first monologue for year nine drama tomorrow from a rant that one of the ridiculously real artists of the novel goes on...
i've been going through this thread and getting an idea of how to introduce myself, lots of people have created detailed and intriguing introductions, and i say hello to all of the diverse and challenging personalities and ideas that i have come across so far.
i love film making from both sides, acting (as mentioned above) and producing on the techie side, as it is such an experimental media that is so influential in our extremely visual golobal community. cinema can be so beautifull and doesn't just have to be generic and formula, as so much of the rubbish that is released from hollywood and promoted to the hills, i prefer the small gems that you pick up in pokey little places that you must search for. you can always find good haircuts there
people are a passion that i enjoy interacting with and observing (preferably the latter). i find them very strange and would love to undertand more about them. i think the internet and other means of readily available forms of global communication are wonderful. to be able to experience so many different points of veiw is grand and eye opening. it allows us to "broaden our minds", as professor trelawney exlaims in our favorite characters' first lesson in divination...
i won't even start on literature because i will not be able to stop, heavens to betsy! i've been going on for far too long already, i guess everyone dropped out pages ago! hehe

anyhoo, i hope to meet lovers of everything, from the bizar to the "normal", although everything is normal to those who know it...

Hello, everyone! Here is the voice from China , which is an old and active country lies in the east. She has the magnificent culture that we can always take as a endless treasure. So does the West. I like both of them and they are my two wings when I soaring in the heaven of literature. Here's my poem. I hope that you can read it if you get time and thank you so much if you like them.Hope all friends enjoy a happy life , and please bring my best regards to your families and friends.
