    Macbeths Morals

    Hey everyone,
I'm just learning about Macbeth in class now, and just finished reading it, but i can't fully understand the reasons he went against his morals , or ignored his "moral compass." Anyway, if anyone can share some knowledge on the subject i would be extremely grateful.

In sunny Scotland (Eden), blameless Macbeth (like Adam before him) took the throne (a forbidden apple), having been tempted by the witches (the serpent) and encouraged by his wife (Eve)...with a sad ending.

    It's the old, old story.
