General Chat - I like this a lot. It'll remind me of all my friends here, and General has the alternate interpretation of high command.
Saoirse is pronounced sair sh-a. What i'll do is i'll record how to say it and post it into the lets hear your voices thread.

"it's fun again", if you live anywhere in michigan though, i did not give you the name, you do not know any people living their, it was just a coicidence, yadda, yadda, yadda,

or "fun on the rocks" and the motto of the boat can be "its better to be on a boat with a drink on the rocks, than to be in the drink with the boat on the rocks."
life philosophy: "if one wants to succeed, they must become independent, if one wants to be independent, one must strive past the dificulties, using them to shape future desicions, like a sword being folded, every fold is a hardship overcome, and every fold removes one more imperfection that would destroy the completed version"

Good try Papaya; but as my mother has passed away I am officially a QUEEN now. (in almost every sense of the word)

    Well then, Amazon Queen.
Really, it should be something that would fit such an expensive home.

    Saoirse

Tim this is how you pronounce Saoirse
    Message for Tim aka BiblioTRJ
Its pronounced very softly, very delicate word (and freedom can be delicate). Whisper it and see how it seems to float from your mouth and fade.

You can't go for this name, there's already a container ship with this name Cap Finisterre which I know about because in my work I'm involved in the Maritime industry and this vessel has been subject to a major maritime incident.

I'm sure you don't want to associate your lovely boat with this monster.

Advice from the Marine world is :

    1. Don't name your boat with any name beginning with the letter 'D' - this is considered most unlucky (have you read Dracula? The vessel he came over on was called the 'Demeter')
    2. Avoid the South China Sea - there be pirates there!

Good luck with naming and the voyage. You could always call the boat 'Lit-net'
