beautiful, just beautiful. i am currently reading thi in my english class and my teacher revels in this kind of horror( with me as well). it is so funny to watch a horrofied student relized this was noting back then. i have come to love this play for itsa many twists and turns. though i do wonder why aaron did all the plotting. he really didnt have anything personal in the play, other than being tamora's lover. this is his best work. ( in my opinion)
He's a sick degenerate, that's why. He's like the little kid who watches an anthill then stomps on it, laughing as all the ants scatter.
I have to write a paper on this play, soon. Maybe my thesis should be how Aaron resembles modern culture: we tend to immerse ourselves in horror, death, and tragedy...
...which reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from the film Waking Life:
"Man wants chaos. In fact, he's got to have it. Depression, strife, riots, murder, all this dread. We're irresistably drawn to that almost orgiastic state created out of death and destruction. It's in all of us. We revel in it."
