Same play, different titles - why?

    Welcome,

On Monday I take an exam, which hopefully will result in awarding me MA in literature, and this is where my question is.

I have discussed a play by Yeats - Cathleen ni Hoolihan, though I have found it also with the title Cathleen ni Houlihan.

Is it a way of making the title more English than Irish, or is it some lg change over the years?

Its just two different ways of spelling the surname. Can be either or. Doesnt matter. Its got nothing to do with making it more english than Irish.
