    oliver twist

i am currently reading oliver twist and preparing an assignment in my year 10 english class. I am finding it really hard to get into the book despite english literature being my top subject it isn't because i am stupid as i am top of the a-c level english group but am finding it hard to get into the novel. i am suppose to have handed in the assignment already but have had to ask for an extention on my piece due to problems with reading the book. has anybody has this problem or is it just me?

I found it unbelievably dry. Eventually I gave up on ever finishing this book. So no you are not stupid I myself am at the top of an Ap literature class THe book is just dull.
