Not that their other albums aren't genius but those two are so often left off their 'greatest album' lists and that's a shame. My love of David Gilmour is ledgendary, the man is a guitar god not to menion is beautiful, melodic and soothing voice.
Have you heard any of Gilmour's solo stuff? His new album On an Island is pretty good. But his first solo album (self titled) is amazing. It doesn't carry any of the progressive elements of Floyd, but retains that unmistakeable bluesy Gilmour style. If you haven't heard his self titled album, I HIGHLY recommend you check it out.

A fellow Dream Theater fan! How do like the album? I think it's fantastic. Dream Theater can do no wrong. The only thing I wish they had done differently was to keep In the Presence of Enemies as one track instead of bookending them like Shine on You Crazy Diamond. Any which way, Systematic Chais gets my vote for album of the year thus far.

I have all of his solo albums. The one I listen to the most is actually the second one, About Face but I enjoy the first one as well. I've yet to really warm up to the lastest one. There's one or two songs on there I like but for the most part, the songs seem to sound a lot alike and believe me, it's painful for me to admit that.

And now I'm listening to my quick mix on Pandora, You've Got Her In Your Pocket by the White Stripes are playing, I think I'm going to have to buy this one...

Baby Huey ~ A Change Is Going To Come
"The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ takes the slums out of the people and then they take themselves out of the slums. Christ changes men, who then changes their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature." ~ Ezra Taft Benson

Oh, the original is SO much better. But, as you can see, I'm pretty biased. Good choice in songs. Love that song. The one by Nena, of course. The re-make is okay, though.

My mom is watching The Simpsons in the back round, so I can't really listen to music. But I was trying to listen to "Mothersbaugh's Canon" earlier when there was a commercial. So beautiful. A true Mozart.
