To Mortis Anarchy - wait, that movie is actually edible? My mom saw it in a theater and said it was a horrible movie...?

I watched Donnie Darko yesterday. Not exactly sure what grade to give it, I'll watch it again first, but I liked the way it was done. Reminded my of Interstate 60 a bit, except it's not very clear...

The blunt boredom rises from the gorge of her insufferable lips and floats like the tiniest feather of a long dead bird until it lands, naked and tired memory next to your fleshy feet. But she is gone now, away, away, like all the others, away, away! Only I, poet man, has chosen to stay. And I welcome you, travelers, to the memory catacombs of the Brunnen-G!" (c) Poet Man

The Painted Veil with Naomi Watts and Ed Norton.

    Highly recommend.

"Cross of iron" by Sam Peckinpah 9/10. A must see, for those who like war movies. (The 10/10 goes to "straw dogs")

I just watched Superman Returns. I thought it was a pretty good movie. Brandon Routh, who played superman, looks like Tom Cruise in a way, and the way his voice sounded and the way he talked also reminded me of Tom Cruise.

Well, wow. I'm not even kidding, that was a movie that scarred me for life! Not even kidding. It was okay...someparts were funny but a lot of it was like, wow I didn't need to see that.

The Painted Veil was AMAZING! So good. Everything is Illuminated is really really good too!

I watched C.I.D yesterday. An old Indian movie. I liked it because the plot wasn't bad (the theme was a little bit different), the acting was quite good, and all the songs were splendid! I would rate it 9/10.

Believe it or not, I finally saw the Harry Potter series. I had never seen any of them and a co-worker has been "strongly" encouraging me to see them. She loves them, and has purchased all the DVDs, so far.

So I spent a weekend playing catch up. As to a ranking, I thought they were entertaining. Would give them a 8 out of 10. Not really my type of movie, but I did find it pleasantly surprising.

Aside from that I watched The Illusionist, which I loved and would give "Two enthusiastic thumbs up!"

“A Mighty Heart” is effectively fashioned, as jolting as it is polished, as well as a surprising, insistently political work of commercial art. ...from a NYTimes review. quasimodo1

What a suprise! An existential gem. Stephen King doesn't always play well on the big screen, but this does. There are still a few coventions, but I got more because I expected less. Mikael Håfström and John Cusack makes the material work. See it with friends.

Oh, one of those ugly movies, eh? I guess I don't need to see it.

Just saw: 12 Angry Men starring Henry Fonda, Lee. J. Cobb and E.G. Marshall

My review :12 Angry Men does not obfuscate its theme with superficial clash-and-bang, chill instilling spoofs which leave viewers tremulous after the feature like sweet chocs leave children appeased yet inevitably desirous of more. Exploitation of special effects and the plethora of augments which bog Hollywood main-stream projections leaving the essence of the plot line non-existent or heavily in question is not exercised in Sidney Lumet's sublime and profound production. 12 Angry Men plays spontaneously in accordance with the nuances of a dozen jurors who have, placed before them, a case which involves powerful yet questionable evidence against a young man who according to testimony murders his father. Eleven of the jurors find the testimonials of the only two alleged witnesses incontrovertible while one dares to differ and hence, through impartiality and a strive to revivify the loose pieces of evidence which feebly serve to incriminate the accused, endeavors bolsters the rest of the reluctant jurors to spend several hours of self-sacrificed time to arrivie at the most logical conclusion. The performances in the film are starkly genuine and each actor fits his respective role like a glove. No other film of it's classical era and genre may best serve to enlighten, entertain and stupefy you than this internationally loved and strongly enduring saga of courage, recalcitrance and what it means to indulge a reasonable doubt in a situation of life and death.

Ugly as in I don't need to see sex or childbirth process. It was really embarrassing to see it with my mom. We both thought it was PG-13 therefore devoid of anything emotionally scarring...beware of CROWNING!

I just saw Fantastic Four...it wasn't that bad...her eyes look weird...

Was it based on Enid Blyton's series?

Ocean's 13. It was slightly better than the second, but nothing in comparison with the first. There was nothing really exciting about it...5/10
