Thanks.... honored to be allowed to be "one of the girls"
With dancing it's not how well you do it ...it's how much you enjoy it.

Thats what my dad said! My friends were gobsmacked! I on the other hand was mortified. (of course we all think our parents are embarressing!)

If you think it was funny seeing those guys dragged to class, you should have seen the looks on their faces when I (a short, fat, scarred ugly, obviously queer, guy who is missing fingers) would make them dance with me.

    THAT was funny!!

My dad once owned a couple of banjaxed cars. One had a hole on the floor, so if you we unfortunate to be the one sitting on that side of the car you had to make sure your shoes were secure. the other one was this really manky brown pooy coloured car that he thought was great but the rest of the street didnt. If we were driving past anyone from primary school, my brother, sister and me used to duck down so no one could see us. And it always broke down. Truely mortifying!

YES! Yes, they did! (good thing I only have 8 toes ... that's a 20% reduction in the pain)

Truth is that I spent a LOT of money having steel-toed dress shoes made.

I admire your optimistic view of that Biblio. Steel-toed dress shoes? Wouldn't they impair your "light on your feet" ability while dancing?
I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

steel toe shoes arent really that heavy drame. What I want to know is did the steel bit eventaually collapse? One of mine ( these are my builders boots) has done that from the number of times people have trod on my feet or Ive dropped things on my feet ( hence the reason for steel toes in the first place) and Ive had to fix it with a hammer and I cant rember what else I used . Its not right anymore though and Ive got a nasty ccallse on the side of my toe from them.

I wonder if I should invest in a new pair mine are almost 4 years old now.

What? Night you never cease to amaze me, how in the heck have you collapsed your steel toed shoes????? I've seen drums, angle irons, and big heavy things fall on them and they don't collapse. Are yours ASTM certified?

    Nightshade,

Yes! Definitely replace them. Once that protective shell collapses; even though you can bang it back into position, it's prone to failing again & again. Now that it's weakened it's actually dangerous.....if something REALLY heavy falls on your foot the steel can bend down and amputate toes. Trust me on this, I speak from experience.

Paya, you forget this is me we are talking about... I dont think it was the time a car rolled over my foot though that was normal shoes...supprisingly that didnt really hurt that much i think it was because my shoes were slightly too big and it was only the edge of the wheel and the edge of my shoe.

All I really know about my shoes is they are RoadMates I had to buy them in dollars and they were bloody expensive as far as my shoes went at the time.
