    my strength
    flows, in torrents,
    out through my pen, winding
    random intricate noble streams
    of words.

hehe just kidding, my pen is defi-damned-nitely not my strength!!

    of words
    he speaks with truth
    stories without an end
    campfire blushes with heated light
    warmth flows

it just came to my knowledge that cinquains are usually of the form- ababb.
so i thought i'd give it a shot...

    warmth flows--
    home is home sweet,
    no room for pressing throes--
a haven where joy in quiet
    will greet.

    will greet
    the next person
    who enters, slow or sweet
    whether ugly duckling or swan
    or fawn

    good friend,
    missing rhyme
    has been the ugly end
of many a writer in time,
    such crime...

    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

    such crime
    to think oneself
    as all encompassing
    isolation a fearful friend
    tragic

    a-b-a-b-b ah so u noticed!

    tragic
    how broken heart
    sooth'd by mere rhetoric
breaks again when those words desert,
    hopes part.

    Exclamation

    hopes part—
    destroying dreams—
    find myself back at start.
but then nothing is what it seems—
    with dreams…
    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

    with dreams
    of a better
    future she packed her bags.
Leaving the house she turned for one
    last look....

    last look,
    and then goodbye
    to field and wood and brook;
No cheek remains unkiss'd, no eye
    is dry.
    Voices mysterious far and near,
Sound of the wind and sound of the sea,
Are calling and whispering in my ear,
    Whifflingpin! Why stayest thou here?

    is dry
    praying for rain
but it seems that the sky
is disinclined to ease our pain
    again

    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

    the dawn is near
    the horizon breaks free
the dark departs and light appears

    press on
    the charges do,
    and stark despair dawns on,
i wish i could, all errors due,
    undo!

    undo!
    these chains that bind
    me to this earthly form
free the soul that dwells crouched within
    this form
