    A doll's house Ibsen

Guys i need two things for you it would be very appreciated 1 would be to make up a small summary of what you think might happen to Nora and Helmer in the future AFTER the book ends and a second thing would be if you guys can tell me some songs that would match the story like any songs representing the theme or have any relation to the story what so ever and if you would write that connection down Your ideas will not be used with mine except probably the songs which u give but otherwise if used will be given appropriate reference to all you guys. i know this cause my college is very strict on plagiarism and paraphrasing

    Epilogue

In my opinion, it was wrong of Nora to walk out on her children. In a way, Nora acted like a hypocrite. When Torvald was treating her like a child, she turned around and treated her children that same way that she DIDN'T want to be treated. In essence, she was doing the same to them that she didn't even want for herself, rather than teaching them a better life. Also, Torvald deserved to know what Nora had done in the past, but his reaction made him appear like a child. Given this information, I think Nora will return soon after she leaves... I don't think she has the personal willpower to remain on her own without support. She has grown up in a sheltered life and hasn't even had to make a decision on her own before. Nora may someday learn to be a better person, but she won't be able to do it on her own, so running away from home was a bad decision on her part.

Torvald is done with; he's unredeemable. I can't see him getting it. He'd have to change too much.

Nora could live nearby and see her kids often, even daily. She'll remarry since she's a fine person.

Torvald will, given some time, remarry and be a better husband the second time around.

The kids grew up, traveled to Hollywood, and wrote screenplays in the 30's and 40's.

I agree Nora was totally wrong in leaving her children! I completely disagree with the idea she will return to Torvald. She has made her first decision and wise one it was - leaving Torvold. Now her choices are truly her own. She will grow-up and become a better person and mother now she has escaped his little prison. She will thrive- it will be her defining moment!

When Ibesn first wrote this play it was met with outrage. The people of the time simply could not cope with a women acting in such a way. Due to the demmand of the audiences, he had to write an alternate ending. In this ending, Nora comes back begging for Torvald's forgivness.

For this relief much thanks: 'tis bitter cold,
And I am sick at heart.
