The Hills Have Eyes: It was quite good. I liked it! I usually always like horror movies. I would give it 8/10.

I sang of leaves, of leaves of gold, and leaves of gold there grew.
Did anyone else notice that the little kid at the beginning of Pirates 3 has braces? bit out of context dont you think? I liked the fighting but the ending was very disapointing!

Pan's Labyrinth, an adult fairy tale..as in not geared towards children in either story or visuals.
Very good special effects...nice story...enjoyed it very much.
Thanks for the heads up. I've seen ads for it, but admit I tend to wait until films are made more easily available... [hmm, available on DVD] Okay, on to it, I have to say it is one that intrigues. I like the graphics for the ad. A Fairy Tale. That's good, not enough going around. By the way nice to see you on site.![]()

'The Pledge' Very Good. Based on a novel by Durrenmatt.
The original one focuses a lot more on the characters of both families, instead of being just mosnters, Papa Jupe's bunch are a sort of alter-ego of the Carter's. The way the "normal" family turns into a murderous bunch while fighting for their survival is dealed with in a much more interesting way. You'll just have to get past the cut-off jeans and 70's hairstyle. And the ending is much better as well.
It's Wes Craven's best film. He also made "Last House on the Left" which is rather brutal and "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Scream".
If you like original "The Hills Have Eyes" you might want to check out the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Deliverance", a couple other redneck survival movies.
"And the worms, they will climb
The rugged ladder of your spine"
'Redneck'!!!! I think I'll change my name to that. Our necks are red with the sun pal unlike the peelie-wallie necks of those who are trapped indoors like dockans under pails.
From Dusk Till Dawn
It was on TV and i was bored last night; i would rate 5/10.
