Shakespeare`a sonnets are acknowledged as a collection comprising some of the finest English love poems.
They are also present one of literature`s most fascinating puzzles.

How soft these lines are;
Yet seem`d it winter still,and,you away,
As with your shadow Iwith these did play

Sonnets may be compared to the four seasons ,they bring openess and talks to the heart.In my oppinion ,sonnets describes best the passing of human life his destiny.

I would add that the sonnets are actually populated by a relatively small number of what we would call "love" poems; much of the poems deal with memory, time, death, the power of art, jealousy, lust, despair - you name it. They are fascinating in their scope and subject.
