    Another bibliophile.

    Good afternoon.

Yesterday I discovered this forum, quite randomly, and it caught my attention as potentially interesting place, so I decided to register myself. After a couple of replies to other threads it occurred to me that I was probably expected to introduce myself somewhere, so here am I, in an attempt to do that.

I am Anastasija [or, shorter, Nastja] and I am 17 years old, completing my pre-last year of lycem education [after which I am the most likely going to pursue further the studies of Latin and Greek at university]. My interests include philosophy, (European) history, literature and foreign [classical as well as modern] languages. I am also addicted to tea and tisanes.

Regarding literature, I have been an avid reader since my earliest childhood, and I read a lot [the result is that my eyesight and my grades in non-humanistic subjects at school suffer a bit ]. My reading repertoire is quite diverse - from Homer, Greek tragedies, Milton or Dante to Dostoevsky, Goethe, Byron, Hesse or Yourcenar, and many others - and a bit out of order, presenting a weird mix. I am very fond of the works written in verse.

From time to time I tend to write something myself - and one day I will probably experience a great amount of laughter over my juvenile hexameters - but I could not say that I am seriously into writing. Yet, at least.

Overall, may I say that I am glad to have found a place like this, and I hope to exchange my reading experiences with you.

Hello and welcome, enjoy and have fun!
At thunder and tempest, At the world's coldheartedness,
During times of heavy loss And when you're sad
The greatest art on earth Is to seem uncomplicatedly gay.

To get things clear, they have to firstly be very unclear. But if you get them too quickly, you probably got them wrong.

    Welcome Nastja!
I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

I know this is very belated, but welcome to lit net Nastja. I just saw a few of your posts and found you to be an interesting person. Very intelligent and well read for your age. I normally say to new people something like "I think you will like lit net" but with you I can see you already do. Glad you're with us.
