That's Seminole Wind - John Anderson

For some reason that one reminds me of this one (maybe because I went through a country music phase and I was introduced to these two around the same time...)

Then a drunken man in a cowboy suit took me by surprise
Wearing shiny boots, a Nudi suit and haunting haunted eyes
He said 'Friend it's good to see you, it's nice to know you care'
Then the wind picked up and he was gone
    Was he ever really there
    Whats a Nudi suit?
"...if you weren't smart enough to get a pedophile in a dress to put a small amount of water on the child’s forehead, then what the eff did you think was going to happen?

Dunno, Shalot, but that's a favorite of mine Midnight in Montgomery ~ Alan Jackson

(For the record, I always thought he said "movie suit", as in one presently out of fashion...)

    No one can blame you
    For walking away
    Too much rejection na na
    No love injection na na
    Life can be easy
    It's not always swell
Don't tell me truth hurts, little girl
    'cause it hurts like hell
    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

Ooooh, that's from the movie Labyrinth and it was sung by David Bowie of course but I don't know that I ever knew the actual name of the song...ok, a quick google search says the name of the song is Underground. Good song and a great movie.

In the summer we'll sit in a field and watch the sun melt
In the winter we'll sit by a fire and watch the moon freeze
Me my old man and a hundred and twenty babies
the luminous grass of the prairie hides
feet lovely and still as sleeping doves,
porcelain bones strong enough to carry a life,
    but weighty and unmovable
    As black Dakota hills.

When I Grow Up - Michelle Shocked

I told the priest, Don't count on any second coming
God got his *** kicked the first time he came down here slumming
He had the balls to come, the gall to die and then forgive us
No, I don't wonder why, I wonder what he thought it would get us
oh yeah, I am going to hell

    Tomorrow Wendy by Concrete Blonde

    Now listen up
    She's razor sharp
If she don't get her way
    She'll slice you apart
Now she's a cool, cool black
    Moves like a cat
If you don't get her game
You might not make it back

Looks That Kill - Motley Crue

We got into a car, away we started rollin'
I said, "How much you pay for this," she said "Nothing man, it's stolen."

Dead Milkman ~ PunkRock Girl (Knew the song but had to google title and artist! I am so behind the times!)

First they’ll you can't sleep alone
    In a strange place
Then they'll tell you can't sleep
    With somebody else
Ah, but sooner or later you sleep
    In your own space
    Either way it's okay
    You wake up with yourself

    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie

    My Life ~ Billy Joel

You've got a dozen men behind you
You've got dead flowers on the floor
You're too pretty in the daylight
It keeps them coming back for more
the luminous grass of the prairie hides
feet lovely and still as sleeping doves,
porcelain bones strong enough to carry a life,
    but weighty and unmovable
    As black Dakota hills.

    The One Thing - INXS

I take my card and I stand in line
To make a buck I work overtime
Dear sir letters keep coming in the mail
I work my back till it's racked with pain

Feel Like a Number - Bob Seger

Josie's on a vacation far away

Come around and talk it over.
So many things that I wanna say

You know I like my girls a little bit older.

Your Love ~ The Outfield, I'll never forget that guy's high, squeaky voice.

Well, you can have your yams
You can have your collard greens
But if you want to please little ol' me
    You better fix butterbeans

The woman was a dream I had though rather hard to keep
For when my eyes were watching hers, they closed, and I was still asleep
For when my hand was holding hers, she whispered words and I awoke
And faintly bouncing around the room the echo of whomever spoke
I awoke and faintly bouncing round the room the echo of whomever spoke

Bouncing Around the Room ~ Phish

Go ahead and hate your neighbor,
Go ahead and cheat a friend.
Do it in the name of Heaven,
You can justify it in the end.
There won't be any trumpets blowing
    Come the judgement day,
    On the bloody morning after....
    One tin soldier rides away.
    Some of us laugh
    Some of us cry
    Some of us smoke
    Some of us lie
But it's all just the way
that we cope with our lives...

I'm having flashbacks to bible camp ...One Tin Soldier ~ Coven

    I opened my eyes
While you were kissing me once more than once
And you looked as sincere as a dog
Just as sincere as a dog does,
When it's the food on your lips with which it's in love
the luminous grass of the prairie hides
feet lovely and still as sleeping doves,
porcelain bones strong enough to carry a life,
    but weighty and unmovable
    As black Dakota hills.

Uh oh, this means no fear - cavalier. Renegade and steer clear!
