This is what I ate in lunch:

I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

    I hid them.

Not eating right now but today we had our traditional "Easter meal" consisting of ham in a filo dough (? "Geselchtes im Blätterteig" Does anyone know how to translate "Blätterteig"?), corn salad, field salad, cooked cabbage, spinach leaves and horseradish. And of course, for dessert panne cotte with strawberry sauce. (At least, I think it was strawberry sauce.)

Some nice Chai tea. Not so good to drink at 11:40 PM before going to bed, but it sure tastes good.

I have never eaten blahgggg, is it good? Coupled with toast, I take it blahgggg must be a type of spread or jam.

(Ok, I'm guilty! I like making dumb jokes! )

Morning cup of coffee (technically more of an americano: double shot of espresso filled out with hot water).

I know what you mean, I'm full but I'm actually salivating thinking about the apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream I'm gonna have later.

I think literally, Blätterteig is 'leaves dough' so the filo dough matches that description?

(You can tell I accessed my handy-dandy free-translator?). Anyhow, the meal sounded quite delicious, Themis!

I am enjoying a nice piece of gingerbread loaf with lemon sauce. And this side of heaven is rather nice, hows 'bout you? **Kiz is sufficiently sufficed**
