Its a very old song from the 1965 movie Gumnaam (Nameless).
He is singing for a girl, asking her to be his acquaintance (Pehchaan). It will make life easier, as she has stolen his heart. He is saying to her not to avert her glance, and wants to know her name. As the evening is still young he doesnt want it to go by just like that, and he thinks that some connection has been made with stolen eye contacts between them.
This isn't word to word translation, but that is what the song means.![]()
