Lately I have noticed a few people commenting in their posts that they don't know how to quote more than one person per post. I have sent out information regarding this via PM, but thought I would post it since we have so many new members. I know this information is available in the Literature Network site section, but it is buried down aways, so I hope it is ok that I put it here, where it is a little more accessible. I figured I would post it, and then not have to bother anybody else with my dumb PMs. (hey, that looks like PMS)



Multiple quotes:
to do this all you need is a little bbcode. What that means is if I want to have just a quote, I enclose what I want to say with the following code MINUS the " marks.

"["quote]to be or not to be[/quote"]"

This tells the forum to put to be or not to be in a quote box.

If I want to quote somebody specific I use their name in the first instance of code and also use the = symbol.

"["quote=kathycf]I have a sock monkey[/quote"]" and I end the quote in the same way, with a /

I have a sock monkey

Code is always surrounded by brackets "[" and the ending part always has a slash "/" . Remember not to use any spaces in your code, and to omit the quotation mark and that should work for you just fine.

BTW, as an aside, if you are using IMG code from photobucket, you don't need to enclose that with IMG tags here at the forum. Just copy and paste the code, that is all you need. Otherwise you end up with little '['img] boxes around your picture.
