I'll be eighteen. I dislike the fact that eighteen means freedom because I have seen too much of what being younger than eighteen can do to imprison people in bad situations. And seeing all the incredibly smart minors here illustrates even more what a big laugh it is that the world thinks under eighteen = stupid and helpless. But I'm thankful that I myself am finally reaching this age.

More than half of modern culture depends on what one shouldn't read.
-Algernon, The Importance of Being Ernest

This is the true joy in life; being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one, and being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod.

Very good point. That may in fact be one of several reasons to why I like it so much here. There is a lot of bright young (and some not so young )people here. People with minds still open and receptive, and yet as you say, very sophisticated. Good on you, all!

I'm about to turn 20. Which seems incredibly ancient, I never thought I would actually make it out of my teens.

The big 20, after a year of being 19 it’s quite a shock to the system. I can no longer be an irresponsible teen.

    I grow old…I grow old…
I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.
Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare eat a peach?
I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.
I do not think they will sing to me.

I'm shocked with some of the results :S Virgil .. How old are you "Be honest" , Pensive, I thought you were much older than 15 and it's nice to find those who passed their fifties.

I'm going to be 21 this year inshaa Allah. .. Thank you!
Our souls might be separated though your smell still there ..
Since you'd gone everything turned dark for me ..
Did you remember my words I said downstairs ..

Now everything has come to an end .. But your memory still lives as long as your magical eyes can bear!
