John Adams spoke with a lisp! I just found that out a few minutes ago! Was it a lateral lisp like Sid from Ice Age? (Ha ha, the actor who played him is funny. "Buy me toys! Buy me candy!") XD How amusing!

EDIT: Aww. He only had a lisp when he was old because he refused to wear dentures! Tough old guy! It was really Thomas Jefferson who had the lifelong lisp! Hahahaha! I'm laughing so hard, now! Imagining America's Founding Fathers with lisps makes me laugh hysterically. (And squeal as well! Makes me wanna hug 'em even more!)

They would be so mad at me right now. *Hides under the computer desk from a potential founding father ghostie attack*

What is it like, to have to deal with that? I have wierd hiccups, and I laugh wierd sometimes, so I know I get annoyed when made fun of for that, but it's not the same.

Oh my gosh, I love the Founding Fathers...I really wish I had tape recordings of them! I've always wondered what their voices sounded like.

a suggestion, Lily. See if you can find the book "Founding Brothers." It's ten chapters, written by a historian, and reads similar to a novel, but tells you all about ten different events that took place in those "first years," and a few before them. Good stuff, I really enjoyed learning more about our history.

Oh! That reminds me, there is also a book on the ladies of the Revolution. The book's title is, you guessed it, Founding Mothers. I haven't read that, either, but I saw it at Barnes and Noble and I plan on reading that, too. So many books to read, so little time...

I'm glad I have a John Adams doll to take out all my squeeage on. (You should all be considered fortunate, too!) I make him walk across my desk when I need a homework break, etc. I got him in Quincy, Massachusetts, and when I was in Boston all the gift shops had George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Franklin, Abigail Adams, Revere, Martha Jefferson, etc. dolls, but they were so expense, so I could only buy one. I wanted all of them so I could make little historical puppet plays in my room. My John one has a quill in his hand and letters to Abigail in the other. the Abigail doll has a quill, too and letters to John! My poor little John doll is friendless he just sits on my bookshelf all alone.
