    dressed in opression,
    music sodden in blue gloom;
    too broken to play

    Too broken to play,
    The English lute lies idle -
    Acappella tunes!

    Interesting picture, Reisa, did you paint it?

    heya, Janine! Nice to see you around the Haiga thread. Is this the first time?

    the object is to write your haiga about the previous posters image, (which I didn't paint! I wish, I think it's pretty cool)

    you don't have to take the last line of the previous haiga. just post a new image for the next player.

    Her hair in tangles
    lays a glimmer like the stars
    dazzling even dew.

    I believe a Freudian approach may be necessary here.
    and somehow a dog
    has taken itself & its tail considerably away
    into the mountains or sea or sky, leaving
    behind: me, wag.

    I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

    nay, succulent it remains—
