    Modern day Shakespeare?

Reading Shakespeare's works bring immense pleasure to me. I am awed at the fact that one man wrote plays that would live on for centuries to come. It made me wonder however, do we have any 'Shakespeare's in our age and time? If so, who?

For me, and I think most who love words, Shakespeare is like crack cocaine on a page; can't get enough
"Well, God give them wisdom that have it; and those that are fools, let them use their talents."

    - Feste, Twelfth Night

"...till human voices wake us and we drown."

    - Eliot

You really shouldn't assume it was one man, but yes, I agree it's the greatest collection of writing ever created.
