    Pyramus and Thisbe Vs. Romeo and Juliet

    I'm comparing the two stories together in terms of characters, plot, and morals for a class. I'm wondering if there are any sources or books I should use to help or outline tips to get started.

    Currently, I am braindedead as to how to start or whether I should cite quotations from the works and explain or just explain.

    Any ideas?
    All the world's a stage,
    And all the men and women merely players:
    They have their exits and their entrances;
    And one man in his time plays many parts,
    His acts being seven ages.
    ~ William Shakespeare

    Well basically Romeo and Juliet is the same story as Pyramus and Thisbe. It, like many other stories, used Pyramus and Thisbe as a guide for the story. You could write how Romeo and Juliet is a more modernized, more detailed version of Pyramus and Thisbe. Pretty much, what my english teacher says is that the ending is the same, it's just how you get there that is different.

    The only book I can suggest is Bullfinches Mythology. Read over Pyramus and Thisbe, then compare and contrast it to Romeo and Juliet.

    Good luck!
