My best friend's girl by Dorothy Koomson is a very nice romantic tear jerking story, I loved it.

All endings are also beginings. We just don't know it at the time.
I loved Braveheart by Randall Wallace. The love story between William and Murron is so touching. And oddly enough I see The Lord of the Rings as a love story is many different ways. Not necessarily a romance, but there are aspects of romance(found mostly in the Appendecies "Of Aragorn and Arwen"). But there is a love between the main characters of the Fellowship that I find incredibly touching. It made me cry. But if you want a genuine tear-jerker, Sense and Sensibility is a really good one.
*to be clear, its the love of friendship. I for one deny the alledged "homoerotic overtones" some people cite. (those are people who have never loved anyone when it didn't benefit them)

Oh yes, Time Travellers Wife was absolutely wonderful. Brilliantly written. My copy right now is on loan to a fellow teacher and oh my I miss it! Although I am a literature fanatic and don't usually read fiction, it was one piece of fiction that I could not put down. I highly recommend it!
This book shows unconditional love through it all...I cried a lot during this one...Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers...its the story of an abused girl who becomes a prostitute and the man who falls in love with her despite that...it changed my life
