Clever (was thinking intelligent but I think we've already had that...and besides, clever is a nice word in its own right...)

After silence, that which comes closest to expressing the inexpressible is music.

Oh, thanks Miss D! I consider clever to be a wonderful compliment! It signifies both intellegence, and the skill of how to use it well
I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

I like your avy MissDarcy - where can you find the entire picture of AD? He's one of my favorite artists.

You can find the whole picture here (and the other famous self-portrait here). I must say you have a wonderful taste in art. And in quotes - that one from Hamlet is also one of my favourites! I don't know if you've read it but Hawking's The Universe in a Nutshell uses it for the foundation of an entire (important) chapter. And your taste certainly doesn't fail in music! - I actually did an analysis and aural test on The Nutcracker Suite for my musicianship studies early this year. So my word for you is:

    cultivated

    My word for you is:

    intelligent

....since you could read when you were only 5 - wow! (I read your profile page).

MsDarcy, you taste in art is impeccable! Thanks for the compliments. I just wish I could get my Nutcracker picture larger. I did it many years back and it is fine point ink - it needs to be seen larger to see the detail work. I am a 'detail freak' - that is why I love AD's work so much. Also, eyes enthrall me - his are mesmerizing; I know you think so since you zeroed in on them in your post and avy. I love his ink drawings so much. These portraits are something wonderful, aren' they? Maybe you can give me a pointer on how to upload my photo again, of the dancers, to show up bigger. I would be highly appreciative.

I have to get a copy of the Hawking's "The Universe in a Nutshell" - I always loved that Hamlet quote. The book sounds good. Thanks for the suggestion!

Good taste in music for you too. Good choice for your test and paper. I saw the ballet several times now - once at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia - it is quite festive and so beautiful...a lovely evening of varied music and dance.
