I seem to have finally found my way back to heaven online, formally known as you all. I've missed you all so much....
In the words of Green Arrow: "That'd be nice, too."
So, pretty bird, you ready?

It's true Nightshade. Put the pin down. It's one of Robin's far too copious nicknames for me, and there was nothing derogatory about it.
Deal, Robin. You're on. But beware, I might break you...

50's sexism verses comicbook sweetheart, gotta love words![]()
I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
bird is also british slang for girl. It's actually much better than all the other slang words, like chick etc. which are so overused it isn't funny anymore.
It is often used along these lines:
"Wow, look at those birds."
Also used when bird spotting.which is a different sport altogether from what you might think.
Not that it bothers me. In the summer, I love to sit down, get a drink and do some bird spotting.Nothing derogatory about that. I don't yell at the birds, that'll only scare them away.
There is no darkness, there is no light, there is only Lasagne!
Yes, and I face sexism head on! Deal with it, boys!
And yes, please don't yell at me. I won't get scared away, but the end result won't be pretty...
May curiousity kill me, and may satisfaction bring me back.

Well bird, chick, duck, chuck Oh how I hate duck one of my sisters friends came to the library once ( hes older than her year he was in mine and Ill tell the truth that is I thought he was rather nice till he said chuck, or, duck or love or one of those annoying phrases I mean I do know nothing is meant by it but it still annoys me.
I get alot of 'Sister's as well becuase I cover my head and I always have to bite back the retort I AM not your sister I dont even know you.

~sings song, "I'm A Girl Watcher"...~
It seems rather insulting in a variety of ways to call a woman "broad."
