I may disagree strongly with what you have to say, but I will die to defend your right to say it.

    Save Me ~ Dave Matthews

feet lovely and still as sleeping doves,
porcelain bones strong enough to carry a life,
    but weighty and unmovable

The first time I heard them, I thought they were way too busy, there was so much going on, musically, it was hard to make any sense of it but then I heard Crash Into Me and was hooked. I don't know why I was able to make sense of something I hadn't before simply because of one song but everything fell into place after I heard that.

And all this talk of Dave Matthews has made me change my playlist...

Not mean at all Idril. I got what looks like a greatest hits. It's called The Best of What's Around, a 2 CD collection of sutdio and live pieces. I haven't taken it out of the plastice yet.

C'est imposible! Never heard a Dave Matthew's song? Blasted. The vocalist's voice and their compositions are enough to keep your ears glued.

    Traffic - DJ Tiesto.

Although I would exclude Uncle Virg. His age is reason enough.

Scared Away by 1208, new band (fairly) with an ol' so-cal punk sound.

They have their worries, they’re counting the miles, they’re thinking about where to sleep tonight, how much money for gas, the weather, how they’ll get there—and all the time they’ll get there anyway, you see.

Okay, for anybody that has never heard this band before you have to asap! They are the best thing to ever come out of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

One Great City - The Weakerthans

Showing some city pride (one great city is Winnipeg's motto) it would seem, when in fact the chorus echoes "I hate Winnipeg." Seriously though, they are an amazing band from my town very dynamic with shades of folk, punk, and about a billion other genres.

Useless Desires ~ Patty Griffin...a recomendation from Riesa. It's taken me some time to get used to the country twang in her voice because I really do not listen to much..or any...country but the song is really starting to grow on me.

A prairie girl who doesn't listen to country? Idril, I'm shocked!
