    Exclamation three chests....heeeelp please

    I am writing a paper of the the symbolism of the three chests as well as the Christian teachings that are in the scriptures and how it affects the decisions of the suitors. if you guys know of any websites please let me know or have any ideas it would be greatly appreciated...

    The symbolism of the chests as well as the reasoning of the suitors are all explained beautifully right in the play (but a hint: don't overlook the contents of the chests--each one contains an object as well as a note.)

    As for the Christian teachings, I'd do a search for the three different materials the chests are made of--the complete searchable text of the King James Version of the Bible can be found on the main page of this site. A couple of (perhaps) not-so-obvious verses from the Bible may help as well: Matthew 23:27 and 1 Samuel 16:7.
