The PAM is most commendably doing her research before sharing her thoughts on the "atheism" thread.

    Just being careful, Jamesian..
Question, did you get your name from Henry James? like Jamesian? Just wondering

The PAM is very observant, and he also seems like a really interesting person, someone I would want to get to know better

The PAM, in addition to being altogether too kind with regard to the degree of interest and such in yours truly, has a keen eye for the interpretation of one's username.

Yessum. The very same. He's a bit of a god to me, I'm afraid. (Wow, I just realized how ironic that must sound...)

    Why, thank you, Jamesian..
I wish I bought the Henry James novel "The Portrait of a Lady" instead of Edith Wharton's " The Age of Innocence..

The PAM seems like he would be a good friend and a good literary influence to me..

The PAM is an incredible friend. Wonderful advice, support, laughs, everything that is ideal in a companion for anyone, anywhere. I am eternally grateful Toni!
I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading! How much sooner one tires of anything than of a book! When I have a house of my own, I shall be miserable if I have not an excellent library.

Aww...Mira! Your doing that again! Making me feel warm and loved! Thank ye!
You are like that yourself, you know..

The PAM is quite possibly the wisest, most loving, sweetest 14 year-old alien I've ever met. <----your fave smiley!

Yeah, pretty sure that book is amazing. Or so I thought, at any rate. I'm actually thinking about re-reading it, but something tells me that I should look at more of his stuff that I haven't read yet, since there's so bloody much of it!

Regarding the PAM, she (I'm assuming the gender here; please correct if I'm mistaken) clearly does not hesitate to let her friends know how delighted she is to know them. One rather wishes one knew more of the same...

Arg, the PAM means well; he's just slow sometimes. Sorry.
(I believe my previous compliment applies to both of you, so you might share it.)

    I'm a ghurrl,, Jamesian..
Can I add you to my Buddy list?
What "Jamesian" books have you read besides The Portrait of a Lady?
Am I asking you too many questions? I certainly hope not!
    I am very interested.

I think that the PAM and I will be very good friends from now on..

Sure, now that I've finally set up that blasted IM affair.
So far I've read The Aspern Papers, The American, Washington Square, Daisy Miller, The Beast in the Jungle (excellent), and several short stories. I've taken a stab at two of his three "major phase" novels, and was unseated by each in turn. Still, I think I will return to The Wings of the Dove soon. Show it who's boss, and all that.
    Nope; questions are just dandy.
I will take the PAM's comment as a compliment, and reciprocate it.

The PAM uses words delightfully and seems like a very interesting, friendly person.

What is the "Blasted IM" affair? (ok, dont answer that if you dont want)

Wow, that's a great load of Henry James! Which book, in your opinion, should I read first?

I just learned, ( by reading the young PAM's profile) that he is a fan of Wagner and Beethoven! Same here! And I don't think it is boring at all..Actually, I am quite fascinated that an American teenager is into Beethoven's work!! Most of American teenagers these days listen to rubbish music like snoopdogg, Jay-Z , Timbahland, and the like.
Their music infuriates me more than I can say.

The PAM has a fine ear in music.

Oh, never bloody mind. Suffice it to say I'm stupid and yes you can add me to your buddy list. (assuming the one doesn't preclude the other )

Since this seems to be going in groups now, I should say the PsAM seem like an altogether amiable couple of folks.
