I try to see the good in people, and yet I still realize that although it is human nature to have a mixture of good and bad qualities, and some folks are just worse than others. Any type of abuse is not acceptable and the police are usually only a phone call away. Can you or your neighbor call them? I would not advise you to directly confront the husband yourself. I think a humane thing to do would be to be a friend to the injured woman, maybe assist her in finding some resources so she can get help, and really, really encourage her to take legal action against her husband. The longer that type a person thinks they can get away with hurting someone else, the worse the situation grows.

Calling the police was done many times, but she keeps coming back...I do not have any exlanation for this and neither does she...Some people just forget that the "nice" side of self-sacrifice for your child is quickly destroyed when your child is tortured too...

I guess that is why I wrote about really encouraging her to take legal action ie pressing charges. It is puzzling why she doesn't, but these sort of matters are often complicated and of course, we cannot be inside another person's heart and mind. Are there any resources for battered women in the area? If so, they can provide counseling and maybe even legal help.

I appreciate everyone's concern. I'll know more Monday, hopefully, and as long as I don't have a seizure before they figure out what caused the first one, I'll be OK. I have taken emergency precautions, as this is nothing new, it happened once before. It was medicine related that time, and we suspect the same this time, and I have discontinued that medicine for now. I may fall, but I get back up. Country boys can survive!

Who or What Am I?

Sometimes I just sit here and I have to wonder,
Have I genuinely found a resting place?
Am I a respected friend or just another number,
On the forums out there in Cyber-space?
They say that if a dog is kicked enough then it excepts it.
And God knows that I’ve been down as far as I can go.
Am I just fooling myself because I cannot accept it—
The fact that it may just be time to move along?
I try to be a friend to those who really need one,
Because I know what “lonely” means all to well.
A verse or a word of cheer, or “How are you doing?”
Can mean the world to someone who’s going through hell.
I just try to help everyone with the burdens that they bear—
And we will try to get outta that place before the Devil even knows we’re there…

Pen, nothing wrong can happen to someone who is good to all. You have always spread wisdom and made us smile on all occasions, and I am sure there will not be a single member who doesnt wait for the special gift you give on b'day's, do you think there can be anything better than the beautiful lines that you write specially for the person. Myself, I can't decide where to go to sixth form and do my A levels. Looks like my best friend will go somewhere else which sucks.

My Geography teacher is awful and the exam showed it :[ I have to organise lots of Amnesty stuff before Friday and I'm not going to make my self-made deadline. I have a headache. I keep getting mild insomnia. I lost my Geography coursework and have to re-draw three maps. I hate maps. And three girls at school make me tense with their constant *****ing.

Okay so these sound pretty trivial.... sorry. *Turns up music and cheers self up*
