Let's see here, the game is the thing:

Two truths and a lie, gauranteed!

1.) I have never made a cent writing short stories, and with my luck, probably never will!

2.) I think poetry should always follow one of the forms like a sonnet or villanelle, and that rhyme is important.

3.) My first poem I had published was simply entitled "Why?"

    Good luck!

Number 2, Unc Pen, is true...as I have been aware enough of your undulating rhymes everytime you post (which, by the way, I'd be glad to inherit I also can't write a poem without the rhyming thing. )

Number 3, also is the truth, 'coz think you might'a mentioned them before, I just don't know which thread, though.... (not too careful about that, Unc Pen, hihihi...)

And number 1 is ,sadly, a lie because I thought of numbers 2 and 3 first to be otherwise! Although I think I should sue those people who wouldn't accept your work.

Or, I think, are there not enough depth in those people?

OOOORRRR, I surmise terribly, THAT YOU'VE NEVER SOLD THEM?!!!

    I think No-3 is a lie.

--You have made some money (more than a cent, atleast ), as I remember you mentioning somewhere you earned $85 (not sure). But, this is definitely more than a cent.

--Your lines have a rhyme, but I am not sure if you think it should always be the case. This could be true as well.

--I think No 3 could be a lie. Maybe the name was different.

Though, seer's mind is hazy at the moment, but she will make a blind guess...and it is that the first one is a lie.

OK. We've had guesses on Number 1 & Number 3.

I have never sold a short story. All the one's that I have had published, 31 to date, on John Olsen's The Shadow Magazine in Review Website are just for the fun of keeping The Shadow alive. I won a prize in a short story contest back in college, but that isn't making money, I never sold the story, it has been rejected several times. So Number 1 is true. I made the money on my poetry.

Number 3 is also true, the poem "Why?" appeared in Broken Streets Magazine. They later took another poem.

Which brings us to Number 2. I love to write form poetry, and I am a wizard at sonnets and villanelle. But if you check the Poetry Post section of this forum, you will find free verse poetry by me, one of which "The House That Jack Built", I think you read, Pensy! So Number 2 is the lie! And the Dragon is tricky.

Hmmm, actually....as I said before, my mind was a bit hazy so the seer couldn't predict right. Otherwise, trust me, I am a very fine seer. I guess now I should control my haziness because the seer has got miles to go before she sleeps.

    Yikes me.

That was the total I have made from publishing around 150 poems. You get say $10 here, $15 there and so on, never more than $25, but then I don't get published by The Atlantic Monthly or The New Yorker (not that I haven't submitted poetry to them, mind!), but smaller magazines. Most just send an author's copy. Some send nothing but an acceptance letter, and never confirm if the poem was used or not. It can be frustrating. But since I have too much time on my hands and a lot of short story ideas, I plan to get back to writing and submitting. Hey, I've been told "NO." by experts! One guy used my SASE to send me a blistering letter in which he cussed me out but good for wasting his time, as he called it. I sent him a really nice card asking if he felt better after getting that off his chest. I had to cancel one of my biggest acheivments (getting 5 for 5 accepted) because I failed to check on what kind of magazine I was submitting my work to. When I found out, I could have squeezed under a rock! I learned to check the magazines out better!

    2 Truths and a lie.

1.) I built my current computer myself and installed all software.

2.) I was born in Cumberland Co., NC, but I haven't been back there since I was 4.

3.) One of my favorite guitars weighs only 2.2 pounds, but is fully playable.

    Welcome to my nightmare!

Yeah sure, although you have been TOOOOOOO careful there....

Lemme see....gosh it's hard but I'd say that #1 is true because you said that you fix your own computer and a "geek" at it, I say.

Lie? #3. But I also have one of that too. It plays acceptable music, yeah.

Tricky clues won't get to me now, Uncle Pen!

    OK.

1.) Is technically true, since I had to rebuild and reinstall everything.

2.) Is False. I returned to Cumberland County in search of some cousins when I was 21. Oddly enough, despite changes the the main street of Spring Lake, NC., I found our old address strictly on the memory of a 4+ year old boy. Believe it or not!

3.) Is true. A picture of the guitar appears below.

How is 2 true? The statement says you haven't been back there, and you said you had...?
