Hello everyone! I just register today and I have no idea about anything. I will write about myself after I'm done with this essay, which I have no clue how to write.

Hello everybody. My name is Adam, but I am known as Big Al to many of my friends. I live in a small town in Illinois, where I attend high school as a sophomore. I am a straight A student, and I am considered very intelligent for my age, though modesty forbids me from having an opinion on the matter.

I try to be a pretty nice and friendly guy, though I will admit to having streaks of cynicism, skepticism and sarcasm. I am pretty laid-back, I am adamently individualistic, and I am an intellectual free-thinker.

As far as my interests go, I love (and have a lot of knowledge in) great modern literature, fine, artistic cinema, rock music mostly from the 60s and 70s (or the "glory years" as I call them), writing (I am currently taking a writing class), and Fighting Illini basketball, which I obsessively follow and invest a tremendous amount of emotion.

Anyway, to give you a somewhat more specific picture of my interests, here are some my favorite:

Authors - Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Mark Twain, George Orwell, Ursula Le Guin, Hunter S. Thompson, John Steinbeck, Edgar Allen Poe and J.R.R. Tolkien (sometime in the near future I anticipate immersing myself in the works of Ernest Hemingway, Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov and Thomas Pynchon).

Filmmakers - Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, Orson Welles, Ingmar Bergman, Luis Bunuel, Carl Theodore Dreyer, Federico Fellini, Martin Scorsese, Akira Kurosawa, Andrei Tarkovsky and Jean-Luc Godard.

Bands - The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, The Doors, Ween, Yes, The Clash, Van Halen, AC/DC, The Stooges, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Alice Cooper, Led Zeppelin, The Ramones, The Flaming Lips, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and John Lennon.

TV Shows - Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Simpsons, Penn and Teller: Bull****!, Twin Peaks, Fawlty Towers, South Park, Mr. Show, Mad TV and Chappelle's Show.

Well, that's about it. Any questions?

Well, for one thing, don't you think that's an awful lot of personal information to give out?

No, it's not really something that worries me. But since you mentioned it, I went ahead and edited it anyway.

Thank you, Pensive. But apparently I am bitterly sarcastic to a fault and a lot of people don't like that, including myself. At least when I write, I can control the worst of it. And hello everyone.

Hi again Serenata! You need not to worry about it, many people are like this. It's a human thingy.
