I'm quite positive Sleepy has already mentioned Patrick Stewart, so I'm just adding my admiration for him to the pot, otherwise I've thought that Christopher Walken was something else ever since the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie, Sarah Plain and Tall. Other contenders for my fancy include, Colin Firth, and Joaquim Phoenix for some reason I can't put my finger on, maybe it's his imperfect perfection. I used to love Bill Pullman but I've forgotten about him in the last few years.

I like Joaquin also. He first caught my attention in Clay Pigeons, which is a hilarious movie to me. And he was good in Gladiator too. Did you know that he was also in Parenthood as Gary? (but I think in the credits his name was Leaf Phoenix. ) But who cares -- he's such a hottie to me.

How about his late brother, River?

I always think he was cuter than Joaquin

River was more of a pretty boy, Joaquin has more of an edge.

Well, I can't say I have a crush on these actors...but I sure think they are cute!

    David Boreanaz (as Angel)

And from LOTR...David Wenham (pretty self explanatory who he portrayed.)

Peter Jackson performed quite a character assassination on poor Faramir but David Wenham did a good job with what he was given.

Crush ... I don't really have a crush on him ... well, maybe a tiny one, ahem, on ... Jack Davenport *sigh* (he played Norrington[whom I would have the biggest crush on if he weren't a fictional character] in Pirates of the Caribbean) and on David James Elliott (from JAG).

Ah, good ol' Jack Davenport. I have to say, I'm very impressed with his acting, and in the commentary on the Pirates DVD, he has quite a sense of humor. Very likable chap, and a good choice, Themis.

As I remember it, he was also in "The Libertine"; not a very big role, but he was decent as ever.

Oh yes, true. I only meant self explanatory because in the larger of the pictures you can see "Faramir" written across the bottom of it. I am not sure how much that shows up in the thumbnail.

Oh, I know, I'm just a little bitter about the whole movie Faramir thing because he was such a wonderful character in the book and Jackson just kind of took out everything that was admirable about the guy and I can never let an opportunity to complain about that pass by.

A Phoenix brothers debate? I think River had a more youthful look and Joaquin is older looking, even though I believe he is the younger of the two. Poor River, I felt sorry for his family when he died (and for him as well)

Idril, I tend to agree with you re:Faramir. It seemed in the movie he was mostly about trying to get his father's approval and feeling bad because Daddy didn't love him.
Those things are important but the character was about more than that.
