True, but there is an "avast" key...maybe that activates the walking the plank function.

heh...indeed, but I dinna use a rat unless it has atleast 300 megabits o grog!

*aside...this reminds me of talking to my boss at work as to why I, the IT guy, should be able to get a new computer...

Me: Hi boss, do you think I could upgrade?
Boss: going back to school! Who will take your place! I need more notice!
    Me:...er...*stare*...er...I meant my computer.
Boss: oh... why? doesnt it work?
Me: yes...technically, but I need a faster one for the work you guys give me.
Boss: well, can't you add some megabits of something, or Linux or somesuch?
Me:...er...*try not to cry from not laughing*...er...well, er, no.
Boss: why, I do that all the time!
Me: *wanting to say, er no, you get me to fix it*...well, you see, my system is not linux compatible, and my system board is already full of the megabits, I need some, er, gigabits.
Boss: well, why don't you just get some gigabits!
Me: well...I need to get some new hardware to support it all.
Boss: Well...have you thought of using the server?
Me: er...no...because its the server, and that would be a very bad idea.
Boss: nonsense, I do that all the time!
Me: *wanting to say: no kidding why the servers so !@$#@#$ up* well, er, you shouldn't, you could lose all your data, and crash the entire system.
-part removed of me explaining that using your computer is not actually using the server-
Boss: ah I see. Well, that was a nice chat, hows about we all get back to work.
Me: er, what about the upgrades...
Boss: well, we'll talk about it later, maybe during lunch...that reminds me, heres ten dollars, would you mind grabbing me a sandwhich at the shop on your way back up here?
Me: no problem *wishing I had arsenic*

    heh, sorry got side tracked.

Now I am picturing a swashbuckling pirate computer geek....

At least the boss didn't think a "server" was the coffee maker....'cause it serves coffee. (Wow, what is with me and the bad jokes today?! )

He actually used to call me frodo as an "inside" joke...because of his misunderstanding of the term...

    Golly! Er, I mean "Yaarh!"

hee, I don't pretend to be particulary computer savvy but there are things that even someone like me knows. Like I don't use Linux but I am aware of what it is... Perhaps your boss does too much delegating?

Aimus, glad you like the jokes!
