Purity

In Chapter 16 of Part Four, during the engagement of Levin and Kitty, Levin shows Kitty his notebook and she is disturbed by something he has done, something he said proved that he was not as pure as she. Maybe my memory has left me for a little while, but I can't seem to remember what that was. If anyone could remember and help me, it would be much appreciated. An e-mail is welcome, of course.

P.S. This book has been amazing so far.

It never specifically says what exactly Levin did that made Kitty so upset. It hinted that he had, in the past, been with several women. At least that's how I took it. She was upset that he wasn't "pure."

Yeah, I took it that Kitty was upset that Levin had been with several women before her, and also that he was agnostic. They both upset her, but ultimately she forgives Levin because she loves him
