    Pirates vs Ninjas

Who would win in a fight to the death or surrender?

NINJAS? OR PIRATES? Please cast your vote....

here is the scoop on the fight...

It is on the docks, the pirates have a lookout in the crow's nest, but don't know they will be attacked... it is during twilight... so not too dark but not too light....

    no magic.

15th century time frame... so pirates get guns, but ninjas don't.... but ninjas have stealth and Katanas and other cool ninja weapons.

    cast your vote now!

Feudal Japan was not a nice place . . .

Oh, ninjas definitely! They're so fast and agile they'd chop up those drunken louts in a matter of minutes. It's a massacre I wouldn't mind watching, I'm thinking Captain Hook (Peter Pan) Vs. Jubei (Ninja Scroll), the coolest ninja fighter in anime.

I agree, definitely Ninjas, they are trained for stealth and assassination. The pirates wouldn't even know they were being attacked before it's too late.

    Ninjas. There's no competition.

Careful scientific studies has shown that it all depends on the ninja per square feet / pirate per square feet ratio. This might need some explanation for those not acquinted with this formula.

Although a ninja always is effective – the plural form ninjas almost never are. Pirates work good both in team and on a individual basis. The higher ninjas/square feet divided by pirates/ square feet ratio the higher chance of ninjas failure. But – if the ratio is low, ninjas – or more common – the ninja will prevail.

On the other had there is the style/coolness effect, as mentioned by Sköld et al 2004. Do the pirates wear black? The man in black has a increased chance of winning. Of course ninjas have counted on this for centuries.

So a lone ninja wins over pirates. But ninjas, in group, will probably loose. Ninjas have an increased chance of winning if the pirates do not wear black.

So in this case - with several ninjas - I would think that the pirates will win.

As much as I like pirates and want them to win, I'd have to go with the ninjas.

Ninjas may have the real ultimate power, but pirates have the jolly roger. It´s black. And it´s got a skull on it.

    Yeah.

    Rock!

Ninjas don´t rock. That would spoil their stealth.
