    Film Version

    Hi! Can anybody recommend me a good film version of Macbeth?
    One that best captures the play, please. Bye.

    I would check out Either Orson Welles or Roman Polanski versions of the play.Welles is somewhat overwrought thanks to his dreadful accent but the polanski version(in colour) is the best and bloodiest ive seen. Very gritty but a fantastic atmosphere.Alternatively the Japanese version(Throne of Blood)
    is awesome if you dont mind the subtitles.The language is very close to the original script.Set in a samurai shogunship.Takeshi Kitano as the main man.

    We were shown a BBC production of Macbeth. If you can then try watching it.
