    Best Biography

There've been some interesting responses for the best autobiography, so I guess that begs the companion question, what is your favorite biography?

Mine is Joseph Frank's 5 Volume bio of Dostoevsky. I also really enjoy Richard Brookhiser's bios of America's founders. He's done Washington, Hamilton, the Adamses, and Gouverner Morris.

    Joan of Arc

My favorite biography was Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc, written by Mark Twain. This book is semi-fictional, so I'm not sure if it qualifies as a biography in that sense. It is, however, a well written, beautiful story concerning real historical events. The only Mark Twain work I have really enjoyed, and have enjoyed it immensely. One of my top five novels.
As Kingfishers catch fire, dragonflies draw flame . . .

Why disqualify the rush? I'm tabled. I'm tabled.
