I LOVE this site, but I think it's pretty awful that almost every page has an ad to sell essays to kids. When kids come to research should they be tempted to cheat?

"Good bye, master, my dear! Forgive your Sam. He'll come back to this spot when the job's done - if he manages it." ...He fancied there was a glimmer on the ground as he peered out at that high stony place where all his life had fallen into ruin. -TTT
Unfortunately the student demographic doesn't buy much else and this site isn't free to run.
However I have considered making a sister site with 0 ads - the only difference is it'd be a subscription site. A teacher could get an account for $30 a month and it'd include one teacher account and 30 student accounts. It'd offer features like an online classroom such as a discussion forum and online quizzes (created by the teacher).
But the free site will always have advertisements, just like free TV, free newspapers, etc.
I've tried using the ads here to cheat before, though I couldn't find what I was looking for at the site so I gave up and came back here. I don't think it's a really big concern anyway; if you're going to cheat, your going to cheat. If an honest student does come along here, they wont cheat.
And plus, Admin is right, this site isn't free to run (I have a rough idea of how much it would cost...)
