As rediculous as this book is, isn't funny? I mean after all the intention of the writer is not to make literature, he is just trying to prove a point in a rather exaggeratted manner, "Let us Cultivate our garden", isn't this a mock on those philosophers or what!

I think you'll find candide is a great piece of work, one needs a philosophical mind in order to appreciate philosophy...u may be lacking somewhat!
