The sun is setting westward deep
and Venus shining soon will sleep.
My trust’s in Him and He will keep
    my heart in perfect peace.

    A first autumn day
But methinks I see a poet
Long not seen on these shores.

    Blessed

    Don’t listen to ungodly thought.
Don’t rise with sinners. You’ll get caught
and should you think that scorn has bought
    you mercy, it has not.

    Based on Psalm 1:1

    So true... enjoyed

    Based on Psalm 1:2

    rejoice in His word
    rejoice in His law
    pray with intent
    all the day long

The rivers flow. The waters go.
    Understand: the rivers flow.
Are you thirsty? Drink and so
they’ll flow from you as well.

    Thank you, tailor! Blessings!

It strengthens us when we obey.
He guides us on the narrow way.
He leads us on that way today
and His voice I will follow.

Poem originally posted as a response to Esther Chilton's writing prompt word "outside": https://estherchilton.co.uk/2025/06/...cription_popup

Outside the world I used to know
    I’m inside one that’s new.
Although it’s strange, but even so,
    I’ll cherish this one, too.

    Thank you, tailor!

Esther Chilton offers the word "sign" for this week's Writing Prompt: https://estherchilton.co.uk/2025/06/...cription_popup

The sign told me to turn around.
I’m glad I did at last.
    I heard the sound.
    The rocky ground
    below my feet was vast.

Esther Chilton offers the word "choices" for this week's Writing Prompt: https://estherchilton.co.uk/2025/07/...cription_popup

IN PRAISE OF NON-RANDOM ANTI-DETERMINISTIC FREE WILL

Some say the choices that we make were chosen long ago.
I doubt that’s true though reason may say what it thinks is so.
And so I know and even though I think I’ll let such reasons go.
