yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!

    deserted island (Gilligan!)

I don't typically shop at either of the two grocery stores (wayyyy too expensive) that might even have mangoes danik---but maybe someday as a special treat.

I see! Here they are not so expensive in their season, because they are grown. Luxury fruit are strawberries and any kind of berries.

I have wild strawberry plants growing in a couple different places on my property danik. they are little itty bitty things, but they taste just as good. and I have a little boatload of blackberry bushes growing right next to my house.

    hot stuff

    LRD... yes

    hot weather...

supposed to be 100°+ F (38° C) for at least 10 days here starting today https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l...470ce44ebd8182 and fire season has been in full swing. Someone I know was evacuated yesterday, again, not looking good from looking at maps.... A family nearby (10 miles?) lost their home the other day... and it goes on. Getting go bags ready here, kitty carriers out (no threats... nothing within 20 miles I believe) - just being prudent.

Then you are never out of fruit. We have this Homemade industry that used to make the most delicious jam out of berries.

Oh my, tailor! We are having an unusual hot winter in Brazil, in some states temperatures are near 40 C. And they foresaw an unusually hot summer in the northern hemisphere. They tell us to drink lots of water and put wet towels in strategic places. Or water basins, but then your kittens will think you are providing a swimming pool for them. As for the kittens, this link may have some helpful suggestions, so that you don't have to chase them in the last minute, when you have to leave. I only didn't like the suggestion of tuna for cats. It's very salty and can be harmful for the kidneys:https://woodgreen.org.uk/pet-advice/...ter-a-carrier/
